The hall is versatile. It has male, female and disabled toilets. There is a small kitchen, suitable for making drinks and heating pre-prepared food. The hall itself benefits from a small stage.  


Cliffe Hall is used by a wide variety of community groups and we have a friendly support team of Hall Manager, Caretaker and Cleaner to ensure that the facility are mainatined to a high standard. The hall is hired Monday to Saturday for morning, afternoon and evening sessions. Our residential location means that late-night functions are not suitable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

01. What is the minimum hire duration? 


The hall can be hired for any length of time up to an entire day, but the minimum amount invoiced is two-hours. Every hire is allocated a 'free' and additional 15 mins at the end of their booking - this is to alow time to sweep the hall floor, flush the toilets and wipe down kitchen surfaces. Hirers MUST allow time WITHIN their booking for setting-up and breaking-down any tables, chairs or other equipment they need as this is part of the hire. 


02. How much is the hire charge?


The hall is charged at a rate of £16 an hour for Commuity Use. The Commercial Use rate is £30/hr. Please enquire for futher details. There is a minimum hire of two-hours at a time.  The Trustees have agreed not to increase the rates for 2021 due to the difficulties groups face due to the pandemic.


03. Is there onsite catering


During 'normal ' times, the hall has a small kitchen suitable for making beverages. There is a hob and an oven which can be used to re-heat food. The kitchen area is small. We have communal crockey and cutlery available. During Covid, communal crockery is not available and the kitchen is limited to one person per group.


04. What is the maximum capacity? 


During Covid restrictions, and since the hall has re-opened on August 1st, the maximum number permitted is 18. The kitchen is currently limited to one person at a time as part of the precations in place. All three toilet areas (male, female and assistance) toilets are now open, but with a restriction of one-at-a-time in each to maintain social distancing. The usual hall capacity, in 'normal' times is 80.


05. Is the hall disability-friendly?


The hall has an entrance ramp, wide doors into the main hall and a disabled WC. Please note that the emergency exit has steps down in the event of egress.
